How many of you have a blog or blogs? Now myself, I have 10 blogs in various niches. From my own personal blog to a blog that is about drink recipes. And I know that it is one thing to have a blog and quite another thing to constantly promote that blog. I am sure you have run into this problem, how do I promote my blog to get three things: a backlink to my blog, exposure of my blog, and visitors to my blog. And there are many ways to promote a blog, both paid and free ways. Now I don’t know about you, but I love to promote my blogs in blog specific directories. Not general directories that have a blog category, but a directory that is just for blogs.
The one big reason for a blog specific directory if you have a blog? Simple in that people looking for blogs to read in their particular niche love the fact that a blog directory has nothing but blogs and no fluff of other sites. So think about this, a visitor is looking for blogs about sports. Will that visitor have a better chance of finding blogs about sports in a general directory that is loaded with tons of categories, and sites that run the gamut from business sites selling widgets to sites that are about the latest place to vacation? Even if there is a blog category, chances are that visitor will not find much variety in sports blogs, if any are found. So that visitor goes to a directory of blogs, something like this great blog directory called BlogMango, and sees that there is a category that is nothing but sports blogs. Would the visitor be happy and revisit this blog directory? Yes. And what are the odds that the visitor will tell friends and family to go to BlogMango when they looking for a blog? Pretty good!
I like this blog directory because it is so darn different from so many other blog niched directories on the net. There is no advertising, no banners and no adsense to be found on the main page. Keeping it simple with the categories at top, all well laid out and super easy navigation. And right below the categories are two separate areas that list on the left side the 10 latest blogs added to this directory and on the right side the 10 most popular blogs. Such a simple concept and it really will make you like this blog directory, both as a visitor looking for blogs and as a blog owner wanting to submit your blog.
Blog owners can at the present add their blogs at no cost! This is a super bargain and one that no blog owner should bypass. The form to submit a blog is simple and easy to fill out. Now go to the Juiciest Blogs on the Net and submit your blog or blogs now.

Directory Blogger has a new sponsor on the right hand side. You will notice the banner that says Bloggeries.com. I do want to welcome them as a new sponsor of my blog and also to let you know that they are a superb blog directory.
Bloggeries Blog Directory is as the name says a directory for blogs. I know that this is probably the number one directory where blogs should be listed. Being listed on this directory will give a blog great exposure, visitors and a backlink. And I found it is not all that costly to get your blog into this directory as a regular listing is permanent and has a one-time fee of $27.99. Featured listing of your blog is on an annual basis and again the fee per year is low. Well worth paying the price of admission for your blog to be included in this excellent directory.
Two other super points about the Bloggeries Blog Directory are worth noting. One is their active forum and the link is found at the top center to enter the forum. Another forum worth becoming a member of soon. And the other is the blog where you can have your blog reviewed and placed on their page rank 4 blog. It does cost, but well worth the price!

I love directories, for a lot of reasons. The biggest one is that they do make me a few bucks just by putting up a new one. Now my problem is that I tend to overdo it and end up with more directories than I can spend my time promoting and keeping updated. My latest directory is a free general directory and it is taking too much of my time just reviewing the submitted sites. Plus seriously looking at actually opening not one, but two more directories! Today I decided that before I opened up any more directories, I would sell off three (3) of my present directories.
I put up a sales thread on several forums to sell these directories. One of the threads is at digital point forums and within a half hour of putting it up, I had sold one of the directories. So that leaves me with two directories I want to sell off asap. One directory is my oldest bidding directory that because of hosting problems, not once but twice can you believe it, was down and up and down and finally back up. In all that, the directory lost all page rank, it was a page rank 3, and finally got back some page rank to end up now with a page rank of one. I looked at this directory very close and decided that I really did not want to promote it as hard as I do my other two. And with that, I put it up for sale. And at a fire sale price! Go to digital point and see the last two directories still for sale and if you like, purchase one or both. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1066621#post9505563

Brand new general directory just opened up for submissions yesterday. It is called the DBX Web Links Directory. This directory uses phpld free version, the latest version, plus a nice looking template. The template is 3 columns allowing this directory to have a nice directory statement on the left side letting everyone know what the DBX Directory is about. Advertising shown on this directory is simple, with just links on the left side, two 125×125 banners on the right side, and one banner at the top right of each page.
Categories of websites on this directory is comprehensive without having any sub-categories. Thus with all websites to be seen only on top level categories, it makes it so much easier for visitors to find any interesting website without having to drill through pages of links.
If you are a webmaster, you should submit your site to the DBX Directory, I see it is free to submit your website though all free submissions will be on the directory only for a year. Featured listings are very low in cost and well worth getting for your website so that it will be shown above any free listings plus will be shown on the main page in rotation with other featured listings. And I see that featured listings are on this directory permanently, distinct from the yearly free submissions. One other thing I noticed is that this directory will not allow other directories to submit for free, that all directories submitted to DBX Directory must purchase a featured listing. Seems an excellent choice to prevent this directory from being over run with directories.

Are you a directory owner? If so, would you like your directory reviewed here?
Your review is on this directory permanently, with it’s own seo optimized page. Super way to get an excellent backlink to your directory. Possibly helping you get a boost in the page rank standings and in getting a higher spot in the search engines.
You will get great exposure for your directory when you have me review your site on this blog. This blog is only about directories, nothing else!
The Directory Blogger is a page rank 3 blog.
