While it’s true that the field of Internet marketing is highly complicated and it keeps evolving by the day – with more and more new things coming up all the time, which you must stay aware of – there are still some things which are easy enough to learn, and knowing them is a must if you want to make sure that you’re running your campaigns properly, and that you’re getting everything you should from them. One of the most basic things you need to learn is how DoFollow blogs and search engines relate to each other, and why it’s important to run your campaigns on such blogs entirely.

The issue is simple enough to explain, actually – the opposite of a DoFollow blog, a NoFollow one, is configured in such a way that it prevents search engines from processing links posted on it. While this may not matter to you for a regular blog, when it comes to advertising content, it’s crucial that you’re only using DoFollow blogs for your efforts and don’t post your content on any NoFollow ones.

Sure, it’s true that you may still get some incoming traffic from people actually clicking the links on the blogs – but it would be nothing compared to the large influx of traffic you can generate by posting the same content on a small number of DoFollow blogs, so search engines can index their links properly and improve your PageRank (and the equivalent ranking numbers for other search engines). Of course, finding DoFollow blogs which are actually willing to have your content posted on them can be tricky – but any good Internet entrepreneur should have at least a few aces up their sleeve in order to quickly scout the Web for the latest fresh blogs with DoFollow settings.
