DBX Directory

Brand new general directory just opened up for submissions yesterday. It is called the DBX Web Links Directory. This directory uses phpld free version, the latest version, plus a nice looking template. The template is 3 columns allowing this directory to have a nice directory statement on the left side letting everyone know what the DBX Directory is about. Advertising shown on this directory is simple, with just links on the left side, two 125×125 banners on the right side, and one banner at the top right of each page.

Categories of websites on this directory is comprehensive without having any sub-categories. Thus with all websites to be seen only on top level categories, it makes it so much easier for visitors to find any interesting website without having to drill through pages of links.

If you are a webmaster, you should submit your site to the DBX Directory, I see it is free to submit your website though all free submissions will be on the directory only for a year. Featured listings are very low in cost and well worth getting for your website so that it will be shown above any free listings plus will be shown on the main page in rotation with other featured listings. And I see that featured listings are on this directory permanently, distinct from the yearly free submissions. One other thing I noticed is that this directory will not allow other directories to submit for free, that all directories submitted to DBX Directory must purchase a featured listing. Seems an excellent choice to prevent this directory from being over run with directories.

Professional Link Building

Now here is a directory I like a lot! You do have to register and become a member, but it is free and once you are a member, you can list your website and start exchanging links in minutes. The directory link and article exchange services are all free and they say it is incredibly effective. The main page is not cluttered, though it seems like it, with all the recently featured websites, articles and more. Well worth reading the main page to get a nice feel of what you will be getting into when you sign up as a free member.

I joined, and I must say, after I activated my account, I found my site right in the proper category and sub-category. It is free to submit your website, or websites, and the same with articles. Easy to navigate around this site. I did find out that to get onto the main page as a featured site, etc will cost extra, on a monthly basis. Now the link exchange seems pretty straight forward, you just browse the directory and when you find a site you want to exchange links with, just tick off the box and wait for that website to approve. But from what I gather, you have to pay for this privilege. This directory is so loaded down with options, that it is hard to figure out what is what and why should I pay. For starting off saying it is free, then once you register, the whammy is the cost of being a member on this site.

Anyways, this is a nice looking directory with a good plan to help webmasters. You should go by and register free, and work from there. It may be a super way for you to get exposure and some link exchanges. The directory is called Professional Link Building, the Free Link Exchange Directory.

Nesler Free Link Directory

Looking for a nice general directory to submit your website? And want your submission to be free? Go by and check out the Nesler Free Link Directory soon.

This directory is very nice looking using a nice fairly dark template. Navigation is simple and the speed of searching or going to any page on this directory was fast for me. Even the limited banner advertising on this directory is not an in your face experience. Clean to the point of no obnoxious adsense blocks or any other blocks of advertiser text links. Just a simple banner shown at the top of each page, and 5 small banners at the very bottom. If you are an advertiser looking for a directory for your banner, check this one out and contact the webmaster for his advertising rates.

Directory Gump

Are you looking for a nice directory where you can submit your website (websites) for free? Then the Directory Gump is the one for you! Not only can you submit your webiste to one of 20 categories at no cost, but you can submit your articles for free. Yes, I said articles and you can submit them to this directory at no cost, thus giving you yet another backlink and a chance for others to not only read your article, but maybe pick it up and spread it around the net. Think, just think, about all the possible backlinks you could get by submitting your article to this directory.

Directory Gump is free as I stated, but for better visibility and a better option to get people to visit your website, grab a featured listing. At present, a featured listing is a very low $5.00 and your featured listing is on this directory for life. What is better when you get a featured listing? This directory has no sub-categories, just the 20 categories. So this means no drilling down for visitors to find any site listed on this directory, thus your featured listing is right at the top, just one page (one click) away from the main page. Don’t be cheap, grab a featured listing today in your proper category. Be the best five bucks you will spend!

Some quick observations of the Directory Gump. One is the very easy navigation with all the necessary page links shown at the top of each page. Second is that visitors just need to click on the category they want to visit and they go straight to the page, with no sub-categories to click on. Featured listings are shown ahead of the free listings. Lastly, mininal advertising on the directory, with no banners or big old google adsense boxes. Just a simply listing at the top of google adsense. My recommendation is simply that all webmasters should check out this directory soon, and submit their sites and/or articles.
