I rarely review a directory again, I had reviewed iBizDir earlier and decided to take a look at it again yesterday. As a business directory iBizDir is getting better and better. A completely different approach to directory homepage (having regularly updated content in focus rather than list of directory categories).
I like the simple Google maps integration they have done on detail pages (not to mention the SEO friendly URLs of detail pages). As I said earlier, I like custom scripts and this one impresses me with great bread-crumbs on internal pages.
Also checkout the AJAX driven category selection mechanism, I wish PHPLD AJAX mod was as slick as this one. You should not that it’s a business directory and concentrates on business address and contact details rather than PR, Traffic etc. that usual webmaster centric web directories are prone to think about.
A lot of new categories on the business guide section of the directory. Though I miss and RSS feed on this section. Some of their articles are really good but there is no way for me to subscribe to alerts. (Maybe there is, but I couldn’t find it).
The review fee hasn’t changed on the directory, I do hope they will publish some coupons for DirectoryBlogger’s readers.
Conclusion:
iBizDir remains a solid business directory that I recommend business owners to submit their site to. For the PR hungry crowd, it’s PR4 directory.

With regards to PR for directories, I don’t think this is really a great indicator of a directory that you should submit to. If a directory is a PR4 it’s unlikely you will get any of that when your link is hidden somewhere in directory.com/category/subcategory/page10 – It’s better just to look for those that are well maintained and edited and in particular those that are relevant to your niche.

For Me PR 4 is good if the page which contains my link. Other than that a link is anyway a value to the website no mater it is relevant or not. If it is relevant high PR it is good. If not it is still good to have.
As you said there are other things for business websites beyond the traffic, PR, Back links.

I didn’t get your point, are those business directories different from what blogs that only publish articles, can’t we mix up them ? Or those directories are only for product marketing,

setting up a negative keywords list will allow you to save money and improve it the click through rate of your campaigns to your web pages. The click through rate is important, because a good click-through-rate gets rewarded by Google with a cheaper cost-per-click.

there are many business directories available, but it becomes really difficult to choose the best among them as many of them are not legitimate and are only made to fool peoples, so it is better to choose the best one and branded one.

there are many links available who provides business directories, only thing you have to do is submit your URL to them and your link will be searchable thereafter from their directories.

sometimes I wonder if such things are really necessary, I mean what if we don’t submit our URL to those directories, any how we will be surely ranked in Google and Yahoo SE for free.

Is it a very good idea to use that type of homepage? Perhaps a separate blog would be alright, but making the homepage look like a blog…I’m not sure that’s right as it’s a directory originally.

It is exciting preparing your online business website. At some point during the preparation process, you will have to decide where to host it so that it can be accessed across the World Wide Web. If your online business has its own servers then you…

I came across Hubpages while making my research online on How to Make Money Quik. As I typed the keywords in my favorite search engine I landed on a Squidoo lens of a guy who had made no money yet but promising miracles to his readers on how they could earn thousands of dollars through Adsense,

-60% share in ad revenue to your pages if embedded with your adsense code, of course this is better than Squidoo who only share the profits and not the revenue and others who pay 50/50

The IbizDir looks like a very professional site – I like the content feeds on the home page, though I doubt they are making any money from adsense though.

Directories are the stepping stone in the link building process and I am thankful to all those reviewers who does a neat job in assessing the pros and cons. This helps webmasters like me to take decision quickly. Getting a link from a bad directory really harms the website and also there is no point in submitting to directories who never accept our listing. Thanks for your review on Ibizdir. Their design itself is professional.

I think directories are still an important place to your site online. While Google does not give them as much credibility as they once did, it is a good way to promote your business and build up your link count.

There are tools you can use for keyword research; Wordtracker and The Google AdWords Keyword Tool to name but two. I personally use a combination of the Google Keyword Tool, Google LSI and T.J. Common Sense.

Ideally have an idea of 4 or 5 main keywords, call them your Primary Keywords and then try to position secondary keywords with the Primary Word most closely associated with it.

Google maps or mapquest integration is mandatory for any directory vying for ‘business directory’ tag. I checked their category selection mechanism too. Quite good actually.

Directories of old are dying. Good to see variations of directories like this one concentrating on being a real yellow pages online complete with Google Maps.
